Thanks for covering Bump! I wanted to point out one thing: Bump does not require that both phones be on the same wireless network. Bump works across any type of internet connection (Edge, 3G, WiFi).

Hey Jimi,
Bump is really neat!

I've been working on a project recently to help people discover interesting and noteworthy iPhone apps... thought you might like to check it out: http://www.appstorehq.com -- In its first iteration, it's kinda like Hype Machine for mobile apps.

Here's the page for Bump:
http://www.appstorehq.com/bump-iphone-18112/app

... which has been in our hottest apps list for a while now:
http://www.appstorehq.com/hottestapps-1/list

We'd love some feedback so let me know what you think!

That girl looks a little man-ish to me.

How about instead of doing something about yourself or something that you know, why don't you do it about someone else or someone that you don't know.

You could do something like this for Detroit: http://www.nytimes.com/packages/html/nyregion/1-in-8-million/index.html
And do profiles and interviews with "normal" people who probably have very interesting stories.

Or you could do a blog on things you have little to no expertise on. For instance, you could have readers challenge you with a topic, say, Amoebas. You would have to write something on Amoebas that is interesting. Then the next week someone challenges with Zimbabwe and you have to somehow link the topics of Amoebas to Zimbabwe in an interesting way.

As someone who works for a tech-recruiting firm. I 100% support joining Linkedin. It's basically having your resume online without worrying about your bosses saying "why do you have your resume online." Every recruiter I know uses LinkedIn heavily for sourcing passive candidates, and if you're not there, then they don't know you exist. :)
